Dialouge Table 1 1989
Dialogue Table 1 is one of 3 Tables in the committee meeting rooms of the Gay and Lesbian Center in New York City. The Center invited artists who created site specific installations for the Center. I created 3 Dialogue tables with hand painted images of historical civil disobedience as a backdrop to the actual ACT-UP Action-committees that I took a part in during the ACT-UP meetings each week.

The image on this table is the battered face of a protester present at the riots at the 1968 Chicago Democratic Presidental Convention.

Dialouge Table 2
This is the image of one of the Drag Queens who protested at the Stonewall Bar in l968. The Birth of the modern gay movement was propelled forward by queens like her who stood up and fought back.

Dialouge Table 3
This is an Image of an ACT-UP protester during a demonstration.
